Innovating the Future of Affordable Housing — Annual Conference Education Programming
Submit a session proposal by Thursday, January 8, 2026.
The NALHFA Annual Conference is where the affordable housing finance community comes together to tackle the nation’s most urgent housing challenges. We invite practitioners, program leaders, policy experts, and industry innovators to share practical solutions, new ideas, and lessons from the field.
Conference dates: May 4–6, 2026 — San Antonio, TX.

What we're looking for
The 2026 Education Committee seeks innovative, actionable sessions rooted in real-world experience. Topic ideas include (but are not limited to):
- Creative financing structures and program models
- Cross-sector partnerships that expand housing access
- Equity-focused and community-centered policy approaches
- Using data, technology, or new legislation to scale impact
- Emerging trends, lessons learned, and case studies from the field
Note: There are limited session slots for the conference. Proposals not selected for San Antonio may be considered for NALHFA University, our year-round virtual education platform.
Submission & eligibility
Before submitting, please read the eligibility requirements and instructions on the submission form. Complete proposals should include session title, description, learning objectives, intended audience, speaker(s) information, and relevant supporting materials.
- Deadline: January 8, 2026
- Format: Panels, case studies, hands-on workshops, and short presentations
- Audience: Practitioners, local housing finance staff, policymakers, and industry partners
