NALHFA is a member of several affordable housing focused coalitions made up of a variety of national associations. Through these coalitions, NALHFA has developed relationships and created resources for the benefit of our members. You’ll find these resources and more information below. 

ACTION Campaign and ACTION Steering Committee

The ACTION Campaign is a coalition of over 2,200 national, state, and local organizations and businesses working to address our nation’s severe shortage of affordable rental housing by protecting, expanding and strengthening the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit.

Campaign for Housing and Community Development Funding (CHCDF)

The Campaign for Housing and Community Development Funding (CHCDF) is an education, strategy and action hub led by National Low Income Housing Coalition. The coalition of more than 70 national organizations work to ensure the highest allocation of resources possible to support affordable housing and community development.

Municipal Bonds for America (MBFA)

MBFA is a non-partisan coalition of municipal bond issuers and State and local government officials along with other municipal market professionals working together to explain the benefits of the tax-exempt municipal bond market which provides the financing needed to build vital infrastructure throughout the United States.

Preservation Working Group (PWG)

NHT convenes and facilitates the Preservation Working Group (PWG), a national coalition of housing owners, developers, advocates, tenant associations, and state and local housing agencies dedicated to the preservation of multifamily housing for low-income families. PWG holds monthly calls and quarterly meetings, and disseminates information daily related to federal legislation and regulations related to affordable housing preservation. PWG advocates for resources and legislation in support of preservation before Congress and the Administration through in-person meetings, testimony, letters, and comments.
